Before you choose your fabric
Everything I do is completely bespoke, and I highly recommend having an initial consultation to discuss ideas, choice of fabric and finishing touches.
Fabric is key to the final outcome, and it is entirely the client's choice. Unfortunately, not all fabric is suitable for upholstery. It needs to have a certain level of durability and be fire retardant. When looking at fabric labels, it's recommended that the so-called Martindale Abrasion/Grade/Scale (or a 'rub test', to you and me) is 35,000 or more, which reflects the fabric's durability. So, the higher the better!
